Our Mission

Star Theatre Group is a performance group that strives to bring performing arts education to the community by mounting full-scale musical productions and providing quality event entertainment. With Louisiana-certified educators, use of local professional theater spaces, and full live orchestration, performers will get a real-world, high-caliber performance experience.
We are dedicated to providing a platform for aspiring performers to develop their skills and showcase their talents. Our events are carefully crafted to challenge and inspire our performers, while also entertaining our audiences. Join us for an unforgettable theatrical experience!

Jaimee Rome - Chief Director/Choreographer

Jaimee is a certified Louisiana educator with 7 years of teaching experience and counting. She has directed and choreographed various local theatre productions, bringing creativity and excitement to every show. With deep roots in the St. Tammany Parish school system and the St. Tammany Parish school's Talented Arts Program, Jaimee continues to ignite the talents of young actors in the community.

Credentials include:

  • BA in English Education (Southeastern Louisiana University)

  • Minor in Theatrical Arts

  • 20+ years of Dance training

  • Irene Ryan Nominee (2015)​

Ryan Rome - Orchestra Coordinator

Ryan is a multi-instrumentalist who specializes in woodwind doubling. He can be seen playing in productions for the Jefferson Performing Arts Society, Theatre Baton Rouge, Tulane University, and Lafon Performing Arts Center among others. He has shared the stage with renowned artists such as Maynard Ferguson, Renee Fleming, Ivan Rutherford, Antonia Bennet, David St. Romain, and Lorna Luft. He is also a certified Louisiana educator with 10 years of teaching experience and counting within St. Tammany Parish Public Schools. Ryan is eager to give students the opportunity to experience the fast pace whirlwind that is pit orchestra playing.

  • BMA Music Education Concentration (Southeastern Louisiana University)

  • Teacher of the Year (2023)

  • 20+ years of Music training

  • ​15+ years of pit orchestra experience

Camille Talbot - Music Director

Camille is a senior Vocal Music Education major with an applied minor in Piano at Southeastern Louisiana University. She has appeared in numerous SELU Opera and Musical Theater Workshop productions including lead roles such as Jo March in Little Women the Musical and Miss Todd in The Old Maid and the Thief. You can find Camille teaching private voice and piano lessons at the Community Music School, singing with Southeastern’s Jazz Ensemble, or assisting the Southeastern Choirs as Choral President. Camille is thrilled to have the opportunity to kindle a passion for musical performance for young musicians and actors!

  • 8+ years of Vocal training

  • 3+ years of Private Voice & Piano Instruction

  • SELU Choral President (2024)

Reagan Deslonde - Media Manager

Reagan is currently a Senior at University View Academy. She has been involved in the performing arts for 16 years, starting with dancing at the age of 2! She has an immense love for performing arts and music. Reagan plans to attend Loyola University in New Orleans and pursue her dream of being a music therapist!

Robert is a portrait and art photographer. He has been creating professional portraits for over thirty years and is very passionate about his craft.
